why did they take softball out of the olympics?... i mean just because we have been kicking butt doesnt mean that they should kick softball out.. there are a lot of young girls whos dreams are to be in the olympics

Not enough interest by foreign countries, only about 12 tried to field a team. However, it looks like it will come back in 2012 as there is a push on by China, Russia, Australia, Japan, USA, and some others to bring it back. But do not expect to see baseball back.
