I don't have the actual statistics, but I'm pretty sure Hot For Teacher was a bigger hit. Van Halen's album 1984 sold over 10 million copies. I don't think Motley Crue ever sold that many copies of an album... And Van halen did it twice: Van Halen and 1984

Home Sweet Home was probably a little more popular as a video, but Hot For Teacher was the more popular song. I love both of them, but I'm a HUGE Van Halen fan with David Lee Roth.
Dave always made the best videos!
