First, they would have to have no choice, a forced situation with no way out. An adult grizzly is larger and stronger than an adult lion of either sex. The grizzly is surprisingly fast. The lion's weapon's could inflict considerable damage. The question then becomes, "Which got the first bad strike"? I doubt that a lion could get deep enough into a grizzly to hurt internal organs. The grizzly might nearly crush a lion thus bruising internal organs. The grizzly is most likely to win though NOT a given.

In general, the bear would win. Now by grizzly you mean brown bear (same species), and brown bears range in size from those on the Kodiak islands, which are as large as polar bears, some weighing over 1500 lbs, to other populations where 600lbs is considered large.
No living cat of any kind could best a huge Kodiak bear, but in nothern Russia, Siberian tigers have been known to kill brown bears, but very rarely. Conversely, bears have been known to kill tigers. Brown bears in those regions seldom top 900lbs.
Lions are said to be better fighters than tigers because they (the males) spend much of their lives fighting other males, whereas tigers tend to keep to themselves and fight far less often. A prime South African lion (the largest living lions come from the southern portion of Africa, often weighing 550lbs or more) might well be able to best an average Yellowstone park grizzly, but as far as species to species conflict (even if it could happen in the wild today, but in the past lions and brown bears shared territiory in Eastern Europe, so they probably did come face to face) goes, all other factors aside, the bear wins this one.

Discovery Channel used to have a tutor spoke of as "Animal Face-off" or some rattling ingredient. One episode grow to be a Siberian Tiger vs Brown (grizzly) bear. They the two stay in far eastern Asia (Siberia) so as that they could meet, if there have been any tigers left, yet I concern that they are all long previous into women human beings's coats and such. The tiger won together with his long fangs. He grow to be waiting to decrease the bear's spinal twine. .

That really depends on who's more desperate to win. Here's a grizzly running away from a Cougar:

If a cougar can do that, imagine what a lion can do! :)
However, I've read that they did have fights between grizzlies and lions in California a long time ago and that the grizzly won. However, no one knows how accurate that is and what kind of lions were used or even if it was a fixed match which the organizers wanted, so that the grizzly would win.
In India, I've heard about sloth bears killing tigers to save their young even though tigers are much much bigger than those bears. So, bears are formitable opponents to the big cats.
I think I will go with the lion to win a bout, but I also think it will be a very close contest and probably both of them will kill each other in the end.

Lion. Here's why:
What kind of bear? A grizzly would probably scare a single lion off, but then consider that lions hunt in groups (small but still groups). If pitting one-on-one, I pick the grizzly.
If we're talking about a black bear, on the other hand, there is no question the lion's going to win with better speed and agility.

It doesn't matter about a lion has stronger bite the grizzly bear are strong and the only way a lion can kill a bear is going for its neck and it won't be easy for a lion to bite the bear's neck. the bear can easily kill a lion with it's huge paw one hit the lion is down. so I pick bears win

I say Grizzly bear cause it's like 5 or 10 time bigger when it stands up. Lions go for living creatures that are either somewhat their size or smaller.
