Can hear the theme tune now, but I more relate it to the slapping and a hand print glowing painfully on my torso, but the PC world put an end to that. Please anyone out there remind me of some of their adventures

I liked it, I think it was from the 70s and I saw it later in the early 80s. If I remember rightly there was a black kid with huge thick glasses, a little blonde girl with bunches or pigtails, another couple of kids and maybe a dog? And it involved a lot of skateboarding. Don't remember the theme tune though, or individual episodes, it was a very long time ago and I was a very small child when I last saw it.

God yes. Not many people remember that you know so well done! there was a little dark haired lad who always sat on the floor in a corner playing an ocarina. One of them had JR on his t shirt.
On the theme on gangs, there was a Sunday morning tv prog called "the Sunday gang" who I recall lived in a loft and wore bright jumo suits.

Always get them confused with the littlest hobo (the dog). I remember a yellow van with the red hand print on it. Life was easier then, cause I was 7!
