When I was a little kid in grade school they showed us a movie about the base station(s) in Antarctica and I was absolutely spellbound... after seeing that movie I thought how much I'd enjoy going and living there. From time to time througout my life, especially after viewing some tv special about Antarctica, I'd think about that movie and my dream of working at the South Pole. I just think it would be an exciting adventure and justs a hoot living on the bottom of the world.

I think it would be a useful experience. I'd probably not do so well...unless they have a TV with cable and TiVo, a good internet connection and a six month supply of Diet Dr Pepper. Although, it would probably do me some good to try life without all my usual "requirements." I might learn something about myself and realize I'm not as dependent on technology as I thought. Then again, I'd probably go crazy and stab my roommate :)
