A beamer is a full-toss delivery(that does not hits the ground)that is usually going towards the batsman's head or it can be above waist height also. It is a dangerous delivery. Most of the times unplayable. Mostly fast bowlers bowl it. Some do it deliberately if they are really frustrated by the batsmen to unsettle him.
