The average 17 year old will take about 40 hours from start to finish but it varies from person to person. All Driving Instructors must display a green badge on their front windscreen although trainee instructors display a pink one (up to you which you choose). Also they are graded on their ability to teach...4, 5 and six are the only grades you will hear when you ask(1,2 and 3 is effectivly sub standard). 4 is acceptable but preferably pick and instructor who grade 5 or 6. Listen to their advice...if they say you are not ready for the test, they are probably right. It is doubtful they are trying to con you as they are monitored very closely by the DSA and anyway, when you hit the 10 hour mark, I would hope you are wise enough to have spotted a con artist. Good luck

Most people take at least 20 lessons. As for recommendations, speak to people in your local area, as it's the actual instructor, and not the company they work for, that makes the difference.

Once you're a reasonably competent driver, then it's a good idea to see if friends and family will let you practice in their car whilst they sit with you, as practice really is the key to learning to drive. However, it is VITAL that you are competent before doing this as it can lead to huge, huge rows. I'll never forget sitting in the back watching my mum and my brother have an almighty bust-up at a horrible right-turn on a dual carriageway, which ended with my mum jumping out of the passenger seat, stalking round the car and dragging my brother from the driver's seat before zooming off without him. Happy days!

Good luck.

There isn't a minimum it depends on how talented you are when it comes to learning how to drive, but you also need to revise the highway code for your theory test.

I would like to suggest that you actually learn from a qualified driving instructor rather than a friend or family member as they teach you all the tricks that the examiner will do. They will also show you the test routes in your area

Most people take at least 20 lessons and it is often more like 30-40. It does depend on how much practice you are able to get in between lessons. It all helps!

ideal thank you to initiate driving in the united kingdom is with a driving instructor as they have the pedals there component in the event that they might desire to you to quit. yet somebody you recognize can enable you force with them as long as they have handed there driving try 3 years in the past. the belief try is approximately £31 now i think of, and the driving try is £50. it varies with driving instructors how lots they can charge in line with lesson, some will can charge £10 in line with lesson others can charge greater, some instructors supply you a loose first lesson then you definitely start up off paying. Block instructions are greater interior of your budget in the long-term you get 5 instructions for sort of £40. yet not somewhat valuable. desire this helps you.

If you can, enroll in a driving school with an instructor. I'm not sure what the driving rules are in the UK but study them if they give you a written exam.

I'd recommend anyone who isn't family or friends. As a rule of thumb try 1lesson for every year of your age. But then by that reckoning I'm 150 and I still haven't taken a test.
