Miracle
Miracle (2004) is an American biographical sports film about an event that took place during the 1980 Winter Olympics, dubbed the Miracle on Ice, involving the United States men's hockey team, which was largely made up of college hockey players, lead by player-turned-head coach, Herb Brooks, that defeated the heavily favored Soviet team in the medal round.
Miracle was directed by Gavin O'Connor and written by Eric Guggenheim.
"Dream On" is a classic blues-based rock song by Aerosmith from their 1973 debut album. This power ballad became their first major hit. Although it peaked at #59 when it was originally released as a single back in 1973, it became a Top 10 single in 1976, when it was re-released as a single. This song was first played live in Willimantic, CT at the Shaboo Inn.
The song was sampled by rap artist Eminem for his song Sing for the Moment from his 2002 album The Eminem Show. The song was re-made by Andru Donalds as the cover song for their album of the same name. It has been covered by Ronnie James Dio (vocals) with Yngwie Malmsteen (flamenco guitar). It was also the opening song in the Tecmo video game, Dead or Alive Ultimate.
This song was used in Buick's commercials, corresponding with their slogan, "Dream Up".
The song also made an appearance as the closing theme to the Disney movie, Miracle.
The song "Dream On" is part of the The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll list.

I can't really remember it being in a movie (although I certainly would not doubt it) but it seems like it certainly has been in numerous commercials because ad agencies are either too cheap or lack the creativity to put their own original music in. I think it was in a Cadillac commercial. But don't quote me on that. But it definitely was in a commercial that was advertising a car.
