Without knowing the type of movies you prefer, I am just taking a stab in the dark with this. Alot of these are "good" solid movies, worth seeing, although I reserve "great " for a few, such as singing Detective, Millers Crossing and Delicatessen:
Repo Man - comedy
Shaun of the Dead - English comedy
The Van - Irish dramatic/comedy
Walking and Talking - dramatic/comedy
The Snapper - dramatic/comedy
The Conversation - thriller/drama
Millers crossing - gangster/noir
Lock Stock 2 smoking barrels/Snatch - English gangster/comedy
Raise the Red Lantern - drama Chinese, absolutely beautiful
The price of Milk - fable of sorts, odd but good
Too Beautiful for you - French Comedy
Romper Stomper - Aussie Drama, scary and brilliant work by a young Russell Crowe
Delicatessen - French surreal dark comedy
Trees Lounge -Comedy of sorts
Cop Land - drama
Mi vida loca - drama
Gas food Lodging - drama
Spoorloos (the Vanishing) - thriller The original and much better
Matewan - drama
The Icicle Thief - Italian Comedy
Manhunter - thriller/drama
Insider - drama
The Singing Detective - (1986) Dennis Potter, not the feature film (actually TV but the most amazing thing ever written for TV)
Classics you may not have seen:
Gunga Din - a favorite of William Goldman
The Heiress - a favorite of Martin Scorsese
I have a million more, but I should probably get back to work now. You can check out the details at imdb listed below.

2046 with Ziyi Zhang & Tony Leung. It's a really unique & creative film, and it also makes you think a lot! The casting, sets, & wardrobe are all flawless. Not to mention the gorgeous cinematography and spontaneous dialogue (did you know that Wong Kar-wai, the director of "2046" and "In the Mood for Love," always works without a screenplay? This allows his actors to really get into the role and throw something of their own creation into the mix).

pass in the movie with an open innovations.....yet i gotta say i grew to become into dissapointed! :( i don't in elementary terms like the digital camera angles and the lighting fixtures is often depressing, and the scenes have been rushed! One minute Bella in simple terms figures out he's a vampire (the "how previous are you?" scene) then they rapidly leap to the meadow scene and already asserting that they love one yet another! They have been good scenes yet they have been rushed and that i did not like that. yet there have been good issues to the movie, now people will possibly not agree (my buddy did not) I enjoyed the actor's portrayal of the characters. Rob grew to become into fanastic! Kristen grew to become into good, all the actors performed o.k. and the scenes from the e book (the few that made it into the movie) have been fairly good like in my opinion i admire Edward in the sunlight he grew to become into so particularly i needed to the touch him!!! XD so yea not alot of hype yet ok movie So i in my opinion might not fairly propose it >.< sorry... yet i nevertheless think of you will possibly desire to confirm it so which you will choose for if u like it or not! :D

THE SERVANT, 1963. Creepy neato flick -- not a horror film, but a social commentary as horror.
THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE, Spanish film, few years back. Creepy in a scary way.
