(speaking about EARTH)
Hmm..you should take a geology class...
But in a nutshell i would say
through the asthenosphere/lithosphere..
.Lava flows up from openings via plates (continental or oceanic) makes new plates while old ones fall back into those openings...etc...there's way more to it!

Take a geology course, it's very interesting!

as for the other planets...i have no idea...take astronomy?

The Big Bang had taken place15,000 million years ago, where everything just exploded, leaving all sorts of atomic particles, dust, and other debris.

This matter slowly compressed and the Earth formed, like the other planets, galaxies, stars, etc.

Life had appeared on Earth 10,000 years after the big bang through after a series of chemical reactions taking place between ammonia, methane, hydrogen, and water, with sunlight or strikes of lightning initiating the process. First life forms had appeared in the ocean and this is where we are now. The whole creation of life seems to have happened just by chance, according to science that is.

After reading your question I remembered something a friend sent me over the internet yesterday. It´s a little story about a teacher who was visited by 5 of he´s students. They came into the house arguing about life, that life was difficult and crude sometimes, or almost always. That they were not happy because they haden´t enough money or time to do what they liked to do or the way they would like to do it. Then the teacher offered them coffe. All of them accepted the offer. The teacher came back the coffe and 6 different mugs, cups and glasses. There was not one cup, mug or glass like the other. The six went from the most fine and expensive china to a plastic glass.

Each one of the students grabbed one container for coffe. Then the teacher said: All of you have taken the best mugs and cups first and left the cheap plastic containers at the end. It´s the same about life. Life it´s like coffe. Money it´s like the container. What all of you really wanted was coffe, the container has not importance at all. Your coffe (life) will not be better in a more expensive container (money). Enjoy your coffe, and don´t ruin it worrying about the container.

Hmm, well some people would say god created the earth but I don't think so. It was formed by a large cloud of gas and particles swirling around a t high speed. The dust in this cloud combined and collided together, eventually we're left with the sun in the middle and the planets orbiting around it. Evidence of this can be seen on the moon's surface, which is heavily cratered from impact. The earth too bears impact scars but we can rarely see them as our weather system causes erosion and the land is vegetated.
