If you have a dvd burner on your computer, then download DVD Shrink. It lets you copy any dvds and write the files onto a blank dvd disc. Check if your dvd player plays DVD +R or DVD -R, and use that kind of blank disc to copy onto. It works very well, and even preserves all the menus and special features, etc.

You need to have a DVD Recorder and another DVD player. You connect them both to your TV & voila make your copy. Let me warn you DVD Recorder's do not always work 100%! Even though you do everything right you sometimes end up with a DVD that you can't view.

You really have to know what you're doing though. I recommend just buying the DVD used for cheap.
