Its because all religion itself is evil. How many thousands of millioons have died because of religion. The Bible was written in the 1400's........by men. It is political. Eat fish on Fridays was nothing to do with religion, but "appropriated" from a law that stated that we had to eat fish 3 days a week so England would have a stronger navy and more seamen. As for "Easter" well that was "appropriated" from "E-Aster" a "heathen" Druid Goddess. How much money does the "Church" have that could be spent saving the poor, the starving? Think of the wealth in the Vatican, the money taken by evangelists, retained for own use. I have no religion per se, I have my own beliefs, and you can practice yours, just don't try to convert me. I apologize if I have unintentionally offended anyone

Not as confusing as your ability to write in complete sentances.

Too many churches have just become feel good clubs that don't even preach what the bible says. Wishy washism ends up losing church members. There are many christians though that do fool the truth and what the bible says.

A big problem is that parents to reinforce the bibles teachings and don't even hold their kids accountable for biblical teaching or just education. They should make sure their kids spell properly and use decent grammar.

First of all I would like to say that it isn't about religion so much as it is relationship. Many people claim to be Christians to make themselves feel better. If there is no real relationship (us talking to and hearing from God) then there is only religion (the idea that we have to be perfect to please God and say all the right things when we pray and believe a certain way about the rapture and the last days, etc.) which leaves us feeling empty. At the end of the day, all that's left is guilt and the feeling of failure. Jesus did not come to condemn the world (us), but to save it!( John 3:17) He took all our sin and failures as though He had committed them Himself. All we have to do is accept that and do our best to serve Him.

What it really all comes down to is this: Love God and love people.

"Jesus said unto him, 'Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.'"
(Matt22:37-40)
Wow! That just said that all of God's laws are based this scripture.
If we would all grasp this, it would change the people around us.

Yes, we're going to mess up and sometimes it will be on purpose, but you have to turn back to God and repent. We can't focuss on our sins. We have to keep looking forward.

Non-christians have this big idea that christians are perfect and never make mistakes and never get mislead and never get into trouble. I don't know where you live but our churches are anything but empty. Maybe you should go and take some friends and raise attendance. ppl who try to attack christains anytime they make a mistake use that as an excuse to not turn to God and so then continue to be lost.

Your right!I don't think it's right to say that all people other than Muslim and Jews are Christians.A Christian is only someone who has accepted Jesus Christ as Their Savior and is a Child of God.I know.... I was a Gay male or Homosexual that came to accept Christ.I felt convicted by my sins. Now is the time to accept Christ especially with all thats taking place in the world.

I think that the Christians that dont follow what their "religion"teaches them is that it is no longer about religion in itself. It is all about finding and following what they learn from their personal relationship with "GOD". Anyone can follow what a church or a religion teaches you but GOD teaches you by having a personal relationship with him and his word in our Bible.
Our church is FULL and we are happy becasue we know Jesus is our savior and we know he died for OUR sins. We celebrate his life and the everlasting life he has given us!!! That is why we laugh and have fun, as Jesus wants us to prasie him and celebrate him!! I hope this is more clear for you--- :)

Let me say that I believe my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ died and rose again. Chrsitians don't follow things because we are naturally evil. Think about it, since Adam and Eve sinned, evil is naturally placed in us. As much as we try to do good, it is difficult for us to follow what the Bible teaches us. Still, that gives us no excuse.

The world is the devil's playground. Sin is everywhere and very very tempting. It takes a strong will and determination to resist it and most people don't want to bother because it is too hard.

I really, really hope you aren't from America, but I suspect you are. Please look into a GED, it will help you immensly. All religions set high standards for behavior, and even those dedicated to their beliefs will falter. It's natural to fail, what's important is learning from a failure and moving on. For example, you could learn from your failure to communicate effectively here, and move on towards your education. Don't let my harsh words tempt you into being illiterate your whole life.

Lol! have you READ the bible? If all christians read and believed every word it would be a disaster!
Fortunately most haven't read it, and those who have ignore the sillier bits. Course that makes them hypocrites but who cares!

the fundamentalists who HAVE read it and DO believe every word-they are seriously scary people.
