Oh, memory lane... I remember loving Candy Land and Twister. I also loved playing Freeze (it's that what it's called?) Someone was IT and all the others would run away from the IT kid. If he touched you you had to freeze in that position until someone that was not IT touched you and unfreezed you. We played for hours. Children do have enormous amounts of energy don't they.

I loved those great games that you can't find anymore. One of the first ones that came to mind that hasn't already been mentioned is a game called "Bargain Hunter" and it was a shopping type of game. I guess it would be similar to today's Mall Madness game.
I can't really remember the rules and all that, but I remember that we had these pretend plastic credit cards, and you had to lay it on this thing where you'd move the handle up and then back again. (It was like the old slide machines that they had before everything became electronic, that would take an imprint of your credit card on a carbon paper receipt.)
Anyway, I used to love that one, and a game called PayDay that I can't find anywhere, either. I was also raised on this card game called Michigan Rummy that you play with pennies. They changed it a little bit, though, and it's now called Tripoly and I don't like it as much as the original.

We're about the same age.
I like all of those as well.
Monopoly was the favorite until I go older and discovered Risk.
I still like to play Monopoly and Risk.
Almost 25 years ago, my friends and I developed rules for a 2 person team to play Risk and Monopoly together. We called it Riskopoly.
Basically a Monopoly player could buy armies for the Risk player during his turn.
Conversly, the Risk player could cash in armies to give money to the Monopoly player during his turn.
If you get about 8 players together, give it a try.
Have fun, be young.
Peace.

I have bad memories associated with Candy Land, LOL! I remember playing Chutes and Ladders, but not really liking it. I loved Life, Monopoly, Jenga, Uno, Operation, Sorry, Trouble and my all time favorite: Hungry, Hungry Hippos. Man I went crazy for that game, LOL! My godmother and I would get on the floor and play that game for hours! Makes me lmfao now to think about it now! :)

Careers, Booby trap, Six Million Dollar Man, card game called 21,
Clue, Stratego and Dogfight. There was a whole series of games that fit on a shelf like books. I liked the ones with the spiders and the one with the dragons.

I'm not too far behind you (age wise). I also remember candyland, old maid, operation. The one that sticks out the most was having pong. Now look at all the "electronic" games there are.
