I think YOU should honestly be the one to talk with your daughter about the birds and the bees as well as how her body will be changine!@ When I was her age- before I grew in height I was quite chubby! Iam now 5 ft 3 and weigh 103 lbs! Her body will change soooo much in the next 4 to 5 years! You wont even recognize what a beauty she will become one day!!! Answer all her questions the beast you can- she depends on her mom which is YOU so you can do it! Its never easy but if I can do it so can u! Except I have a 15 year old SON I had to talk too!

The WORST thing you could tell your teen/pre-teen daughter is that she needs to lose weight. Making her jog everyday or even once a week is showing her that her that appearance matters. I have friends (well, ex-friends) whose mom's did the same thing. They hinted at losing a little weight and toning up and now both of my friends have eating disorders.
It's not a good thing to start her with dieting and exercise at this age for 2 reasons. 1. She will grow up to be extremely self conscience. 2. She is going through puberty, and the weight she has gained is weight that she needs. Her body put on that weight for a reason and by making her lose that weight you are messing with the system. She will gain it all if not more back by the time puberty is over no matter how much exercise and healthy eating she does. It's part of life, and you are just screwing with the system. Take it from me, I've seen girls who's parents were just like you and they didn't turn out very good or healthy.

I'm not a doctor, but you should just sit her down on a nice, relaxing cool day, preferably outside on a bench. Then you tell her about the Birds and the Bees, and explain, in some detail, but not too much, about her body as well as the male body. Advise her to come to you about any questions she has. Once she gets older, like 12 and 13, explain in further detail and buy her some books on personal hygiene, masturbation, sexual education, etc. If you want to know she isn't having sex and feel comfortable with this, buy her a vibrator or other sex toy when she turns 14 or 15. Good Luck!

Not likely you are going to find any doctors on here. Even if someone claimed to be a doctor this IS the internet and you cannot trust someone to tell the truth. Going from basically no exercise to jogging is hard on a body. It is better to get the whole family to go on walks. Start out by going two-three blocks and work your way to 1-2 miles.

sorry that im not a doctor. if you dont want to talk to her face to face about sex and all that then buy a book and let her read it. im 17 and i wish my mom told me about sex and periods and well, she didnt. a book or pamphlet would do tons and making her jog, unless she SAYS she enjoys it and u can really tell she likes it. shes gonna prolly hate you for making her do it. she may like it in the end, but shes 11. if she thinks shes fat then shell ask u waht to do about it. dont force anything, you have to let her think that shes in control otherwise itll be another rebel with no cause. i hope you actually read this and think about it cuz she could turn out pretty bad, she might be skinny but bad isnt physical... its mental... well i hope this helped

do what my mom did, when i turned 11 my mom bought me a training bra and sent me on my way, figuring i would learn everything in sex ed and anything i didn't learn i could simply ask her. I didn't start my period until winter break of my 9th grade year. In California its required for 7th grades to go through sex ed, i don't know the policy where you live, but yea. And about the weight, make her exercise that during the summer but during the school year she will do PE during school, especially during Jr. high and high school, you are forced to do PE everyday for an hour
good luck

If you need a doctor to answer this, then I highly suggest you look in the phone book and find a pediatrician or a family doctor.
Yahoo! is not a hospital or a medical facility!!!!

So what is your question?
Are you worried about her not having her cycle yet? That's normal.
Or are you looking for help to get her to lose some weight?
