Whenever i get a cut, or a pimple, or hives, they dont go away; they'll heal, but they leave scars. I don't pick at them at all, or scratch, but even a small scratch or cut will stay for a VERY long time. Why? I don't think its a matter of buying lotion; I don't need soft skin, I just want to stop scarring so easily, it makes my skin look bad. What do I do? Whats wrong with me?

You really need to drink MORE water. It flushes your system. You also need to invest in a good cleanser, toner and skin cream. There is a new one out that you can get from the pharmacist. No prescription needed. As well Pro Activ seems to be very popular. I have used it and did notice a difference in my skin however my skin was not that bad. I can tell you that vitamin E does work wonders for scars. You buy the capsules, break them open and apply directly to the skin. I guarantee you will see a difference. It is natural and not expensive like some of the other options. As for preventing the scarring, I really don't know what to tell you, talk to a dermatologist, and good luck. Hang in there, beauty is only skin deep.

so people have the genetic disposition to exesive scaring. Different nationalities scar worse that other. For example people with darker pigment are prone to raised keloid scars. The best thing I can think of is make sure the spot is cleaned really well and make sure to use peroxide and neosporin. On the face it is harder to stop. It is easier to deal with it after. Make sure you exfoliate atleast every other day. Once a week do an at home micro dermabrasion and chemical peel (not on the same day). Oil of Olay makes a really good 2 step mico skin peel that you can do the same day. It has worked miracles on some of my facial scars and discoloration. Just don't over do it.

hmm, well i dont know what to say about treating them while they're there, but if you have scars on your face, you should try Neutrogena Multi-Vitamin Facial tratement, it is a lotion you put on in the morning. I use it becasue i have acne scars.. i still suffer from acne but it looks alot better now because this lotion helps get rid of the scars..i recommend it, and its for acne-prone skin, which you mentioned you get zits, so i think this will work for you too.

You probably have REALLY sensitive skin. I would try buying some Neosporin and covering the **** out of a pimple/cut with it.
ALSO if you have many scars dry microdermabrasion (SP???) it will get rid of them.

You need to drink more water. I think your skin is lacking some minerals. To know for sure, see a dermatologist.
