I'm having my doubts...They aren't showing anything except that Bumblebee is no longer a VW Bug, but some European sportscar. Blasphemy! Even the screenshot of (who I presumed was) Optimus Prime didn't reveal enough to slake my fangirlish needs.

Well, we won't know until we see or hear more about it, and you ultimately won't have a reliable answer to this question until someone with exactly the same taste as yours sees it and circulates their opinion about it.

So far, if you're a "G1" purist, things aren't looking good when it comes to the alt-forms. Bumblebee is a Camaro (not entirely the production's fault as Volkswagen now refuses to license its cars' images for "war toys"), and Optimus Prime is a long-nosed big rig (somewhat similar to the G2 "Laser Optimus Prime") rather than the "cab over engine" design we're familiar with. Many fans are already treating this as evidence that Michael Bay is seriously missing the point of the Transformers' appeal (the way he missed the point when he made Pearl Harbor. :) )

I don't know but G4 (the cable channel) is going to be at Comic Con live tonight at 8:00, I think at the end of the show they will show an exclusive first look trailor and you can decide for yourself.

Personally I think it's dumb, but I know I'll get dragged to see it...

Having seen some test footage and a couple of great promo shots, YES! It's on my "must see" even if it's just for the FX.
