Because it just wouldn't be right to have sex during the funeral. Not to mention the fact that the act of sex creates life, well it can, so the instintual urge to procreate after baring witness to death's face is only natural for our species to continue on. Or somethin like that.

Any exposure to death - a funeral, a close call, a threat can make people aware that their time here is limited.
They often "run to life" - have sex with someone - to comfort themselves.

Do they? Gee, I dunno, I didn't see anyone doing it after they planted Uncle Otto!!!! Just as long as they weren't doing it with Uncle Otto! Yikes!
Ahem, lest I digress.......perhaps, if people choose to have sex, it is to feel connected, to feel alive. Funerals generally tweak some of our raw human emotions. To balance that, some will look to feed their most basic human needs, and that need for affection, connection, belonging. Maybe they just need to experience the better parts of being alive the yin with the yang.
