I love America and I take a lot of pride in being an American, but ever since 9-11, it seems like you can't help but be force fed that patriotic stuff. From the rednecks who are avid Toby Keith fans to every other email I recieve telling me not to forget. I mean no disrespect to the fallen, but I have had too much of it.

You do disrespect the fallen when you say you have had enough. These fallen heroes have made the ultimate sacrifice in order for you to be able to say something like this. Imagine how many of our fallen soldiers would love to be sitting where you are and pressing the deletee button on their e-mails because they have received yet another chain letter reminding us not to forget. You have the option to delet those e-mails or turn off your t.v. They no longer do. Nor do the Military families that go through the deployments year after year (a soldier,a love one) to defend this country. We live patriotism everyday. Be happy that may be all you have to complain about. Passing on a chain letter is the least I can do for my fallen heroes. To my military family! Hooah!

If you love your country, then why are you bothered by patriotism?
All it attempts to do is to remind you of who would destroy the country you love.
To me it's similar to when you leave in the morning and your wife says "I love you. Be safe and come home tonight."
Vigilence against the dangers. Never forget.

Does this mean you would also grow weary of your wife's love and concern for you?

To me, it's that simple.
To others, look at it this way.
The United Nations was constructed, in large part, as an effort to prevent another Nazi type regime from taking power in the world. The U.N. has lost its way and is now run by those that it was designed to prevent. Why? Vigilence against the dangers was disregarded after time. Complacency.

The Jews that survived the holocaust learned this lesson. Never forget.
Never Forget 9/11
Know your enemy.Be they within, or without.

Right on. I'm with on the rednick diehard Toby Keith lovers. Geez I live in Indiana & it IS BAD around here sometimes. It is actually amusing if it wasn't so disgusting to watch some of the blind idiots tear up to music when they don't even know 1/16 of the sh** going on in the country. But hey I LOVE AMERICA TOO & I am glad to have been born here but can't the rednicks just accept that I don't have to love Toby Keith & display American flags everywhere & still love my country of origin just as much as they do????

If you're an American you have the same right to free speech as they do. So, the next time someone gets a little too over-the-top for you, just read 'em the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights. That'll teach 'em.

I know what you are saying. we have really been force fed a lot to condone war. Not many of the people who died on 911, would have wanted so many soldiers to die in their name. It was a Tragedy that will never be forgot. and it is still my hope the find Mr Ben, but Eye for a Eye has now passed.

I am proud that so many people are still patriotic. And don't forget we still have people fighting a war in Iraq. I lost a very good friend over there. I am glad for the songs etc.. that honor him.

If we have thousands of American men and women who can manage to leave their families to fight a war, then I think you can manage to show your appreciation for them--everyday.

Stop being so selfish.
