Nancy Pelosi is a low-functioning moron. She makes dirt farmers look light an enlightened group of quantum physicists. However, she couldn't possibly do any more harm to the Democratic Party that Howard Dean hasn't done, but she's no help either. Republicans are no better.

Yes, and all the left-wingers like her. I'm independent, but wind up voting Republican just because the current Democratic party is more scary. Until mainstream Dems take the party back from the far left like Pelosi, Clinton, Kerry, and such, they won't have my vote or the votes of millions of middle-of-the roads like me...

I don't think she helps much. She always seems to come across as a wacky liberal.
Dems need to get more grounded and hit on things that resonate with the public. If they're too far left in how their percieved they won't get anywhere.
They also need to get more aligned on approaches, messages and talking points.
