I tried not to because my father was the vice-principal AND my science teacher for grades 8 and 9. In fact I would have gotten 100% on a science exam but my father had to find some fault on it so deducted 2 points for not including the percent sign in an answer. When I won the grade 8 science fair it wasn't much of a victory neither because everyone else thought it was because of my dad even though the judges didn't know who I was.
My daughter has been principal's pet in a few different schools though and since she wasn't related to anyone there it was a totally different story and I thought it was kind of neat.

People always told me I was a teacher's pet, but I never realized it myself. I guess she just liked me and thought I was smart.
Then again, I was in 5th grade, so that's nothing to really brag about, is it?
