Yes, North Carolina is great! I agree with the previous post about missing things back home because you moved after 20-something years. That's my case, too.
Aside from that, the temperatures vary, depending on where you are and what time of year it is. If you don't like hot weather, definitely try the mountains. They are so beautiful! Just be warned, but anywhere you go will more than likely have moderately high or high humidity. North Carolina has something for everyone, and I'm sure you can find something!

It depends on what part. I am from NC and I think its a great state to visit if you know where to go. Some of the smaller towns my not be as much fun as Charlotte or the Raleigh-Durham area but over all its great. There are a lot of places to visit that will keep you busy. Its also great for just experiencing new types of land. I think it is the only state with all the land regions. (mountains, piedmont, and coastal). As you can see I am kind of biased. I just moved about 2 months ago and I am severely homesick.
The last time I talked to my mom, yesterday, the temp. was about 90, but it's not as humid as most people think it is. Especially not as humid as were I am now, Mississippi.

We went there and it was beautiful and a wonderful place to visit. I'd certainly go again.

i just got back from north Carolina... it was a great place... not hot there, mountains are pretty. we also went to PIGEON FORGE, TENNESSEE .its nice there alot of shopping....
