All depends on your goals.

I play a Human warlock, and I love it. Warlocks are my favorite of the casters, and arguably the most powerful.

I have a Night Elf hunter and that's a lot of fun, too. Nothing like being one of the last ones standing, because of feign death/high armor.

My Troll warrior is cool, because she gains health, in combat! I can actually see her health go up, as I'm fighting. Doesn't happen with any other race.

Really, think about your goals, and what kind of player you are. Are you a multitasker? Try a healing class, like a priest/druid/paladin/shamen. Preists esp. are in high demand for instances, because nearly every group needs one.

If you want to just zerg any creature you come across, try a dps class: mage, hunter, rogue, or warlock.

If you want to be the leader of the party, play a tanking class. The best tanks are warriors, usually. They have very high armor, and a talent build designed for tanking. Druids can be good tanks, though, and paladins as well. Shamans and Hunters can do so-so tanking. They're best as off-tanks.

Try em all, lol.

Really, it is very much up to you.

I deleted a 24 Orc Warlock because I despised playing him, he just sucked! I now have a 49 (almost 50) Human Warlock that I can't wait to log in and play. Same for my Troll Priestess, hated her ***, and she was really twinked out by my 60's on the server. She's deleted in favor of an Undead Priest, who I enjoy playing much more.

My advice is try a bunch, usually you can tell if you are going to like a toon by 20 or so, and that isn't hard to get to, even for a casual player.

i found the Worgen Feral Druid to be the quickest of all on the 2d. Race benefit: bigger Crit hazard, have a splash like capacity that doesn't share cooldown with different comparable result. good in commonplace injury and survivability. injury output: Cat variety is presently generating very lots of commonplace injury output extremely with bleed outcomes, even with upcoming nerfs beta testers pronounced little result on the wear and tear. Downtime: very low to none. whilst low on wellness basically pop the instant heals and save on going, whilst low on mana basically innervate. Survivability: with cat variety you will maximum in all likelihood kill the mobs in the previous they are able to do any real injury to you, and if confronted with multiple mobs you are able to swap to undergo from and mangle each of how, undergo variety does significant volume of injury. and if issues get extremely undesirable you are able to sprint at the same time as in cat variety or use the racial run capacity or basically get to shuttle variety to run away.
