I believe it will largely depends on the area you live in. In my area, no one uses in-house paralegals. There are no major differences in work, but an in-house paralegal will probably have a little more responsibility and personal accountability for thier work. In my opinion, this alone should warrant a higher salary.

I work for a law firm and I love it. I have nothing to compare it too, but for me it has been a wise career choice.

On average, none. But a particular firm can be very far from the average.
