If you want to walk, be sure to sure to drop off your vehicle and ride one of the tourist buses (you pay for the whole day and can hop on and off buses where you'd like to go).

A lot of great things are on or near Clifton Hill. Make sure to try out the Rainforest Cafe. It's a GREAT experience for lunch or supper.

Hello,

Niagara Falls is a wonderfull place to visit. I believe, without doubt, that the Canadian side of the falls is the best by far (I have been in both sides).

I would recommend you to stay at the Best Western Cairn Croft Hotel (Toll Free: 1-800-263-2551) and visit:
- Hard Rock Cafe
- Planet Hollywood
- Niagara CASINO ( a must!!)
- Walk around and enjoy many of the attractions around the Casino area
- Do not forget to visit a nearby town called Nigara on the Lake. It is just awesome town, beautiful. You can have a nice dinner there.
- I also recommend taking the boat that will take you to the center of the falls (MAID OF THE MIST). I took it and it is worth the ride! I took amazing pictures (even though I was all wet)

Please, dress comfortable because in the summer is very hot and you will get wet from water from the falls, so, wear cotton that will dry fast and still will look good.

You can also visit these links to get more info:

Have a wonderfull trip to Canada!!!!! I wish I could go there this summer!!! Say hello to my canadians buddies, eh? :-)

Niagara Falls is beautiful. You will love it.

Carriage ride around the falls at the time the fireworks go off -- very romantic.

Take walking tours of both the American and Canadian Falls. Ride the Maid of the Mist. Visit the Cave of the Winds. See the Aerospace museum.

And don't forget the Casinos!

Canadian area has each of the points of interest, you could walk or force accross the bridge to be certain the US area, yet you get the Canadian money substitute to as a small bonus. finally in case you go with to hit any of the strip golf equipment or "The Canadian Ballet" as we call it, you do not might want to bypass again through customs all inebriated and horny previous due at nighttime! income from the vacation, both way Niagara Falls is fantastic. be sure you journey the Maid of the Mist, hit devil's hollow and the usually neglected tremendous Gorge vacation the position you will see the actuall barrels people went over the falls in.

We stayed at the Marriott and had a beautiful view and a great time. You can go behind the falls, go on the "Maid of the Mist," go on the "Whirlpool Jet Tours," go on the "Whirlpool Aero Car" over the whirlpool. There's a lot to do. Stay away from the downtown tourist traps like Ripleys or Marvel Comics, and the Casinos, they will cut into your wallet and take away from the joy of being near one of the great natural wonders. Buy your souveniers at Walmart or Kmart in Buffalo to save major dinero. Have fun.

I grew up in Niagara falls, take it from me, if you can, stay somewhere outside of the city of Niagara Falls. The Falls itself is beautiful, the city is overgrown, overpriced and kinda gross. The towns around it however, are beautiful. Niagara on the Lake is one of Canada's most beauitful towns, no frachised stores are allowed in the town and it is full of wineries and old buildings. Check out queenston heights, it's a big park with a huge lookout towere that was used in the war of 1812. The niagara gorge has some great hiking. There is also a lots of great wineries in the towns of Vineland and Jordan if you are into that.
If you are however interested in wax museums and cheap gift shops, the Falls is just the place.
Have fun

Definately go on the maid of the mist, if not on the boat then try the tour that takes you down behind the falls, its awesome. Also, if you have the money, there is a restaurant in a large tower that revolves around, but I don't know what it's called, try that. There is also a wax museum but I'm not sure which side its on.

Was there on Monday....do the Maid of the Mist....by far one of the coolest things (really it was!!). Stay at any of the hotels that are there along the river. And I'd do the Gondola ride over the Whirlpool Rapids.
Don't go the US side (I live in the US, and I don't recommend it!!)
