I have a friend who just gets on my nerves, she continuously attention seeks, is always immature and just generally irritating, she lacks friends, but this just makes her attention seek even more, then she becomes even more irritating. I can't help finding her annoying, but I think the more people move away from her, the worse she will behave. What can I do to help her without going mad, in her company?

How old is she? If she is still young, a certain amount of this type of behavior might be expected. Try telling her in a kind way the reaction of others to the way she acts. All in all, though, if she is that irritating, maybe you should end the friendship. If not, then be the best friend you can and don't worry about what other people think.

be honest with her, when she starts to act annoying point it out. That is truly the only way to handle the situation if she keeps it up then walk away to its tough but maybe she'll learn from it

God so glad your not my friend, maybe if someone actually paid her some attention and ask her why she is like she is then you might have your answer and a good friend too.

Tell her the truth. She can either not speak to you (all the better for you) or she can try to change. And always keep on reminding her when she is doing it.

explain everything that you typed here to her. let her know how she comes across to other people. and that you are that fond of her behavior. she needs to either grow up or find new friends.
