High amounts of electricity can kill you through burns or the stress the body enconters, AC or DC. However, AC is actually more dangerous. To understand why, we need to take a look at our nervous system.
The animal nervous system is like a battery. Ionic balances provide the mechanism for nerve impulses. These ions work DC style. A small current will pass only on one direction through a nerve. It can travelboth ways, but alway as DC. Also, remember that nerves carry transmissions from the brain and spinal cord to the muscles.
If DC passes through the body, it will soon stimulate all the nerves in the body, making all muscles stop (like a cramp). That would include the heart. After DC is removed, the ionic balance is maintained, So a small jolt from any source (even from within the body) can restart the muscles. The heart then is easily brought back to life.
Now, if AC passes through, the muscles twitch (like an epyleptic seizure). The frequency of AC found in electrical wires has a frequency of 50-60 Hz, which would cause the muscles to twitch so fast that they soon go out of control. After the AC is removed, the ionic balance is disrupted, and the muscles continue to twitch. The balance, once disrupted, is extremely difficult to reset with anything else but high levels of DC, oftentimes too late.

The danger of an electrical shock depends on the frequenccy of the signal along with the voltage and current levels.
The frequency of DC signal is zero. So the DC shocks are practically harmless. AC signals have some frequency. More the frequency, more is the danger. That's why AC signals are fatal

DC is the most deadly because it isn't alternating from effective to adverse which grants a launch in case you grip an AC ability source. DC will grip you as your nerves clench and experience uncontrollable probability aspect : it truly is an huge-spread incontrovertible certainty that for a given medium voltage DC is more effective risky. AC has a diverse frequency, subsequently pores and skin result kicks in and the present travels by ability of the outer pores and skin subsequently it does no longer harm your inner organs. more effective the frequency more effective suggested the exterior result and bigger the impedance it grants to the voltage. finally what concerns is the present move which relies upon on the voltage. In ac by using outside result the impedance is more effective and subsequently lesser contemporary flows, yet in DC there is not any pores and skin result and subsequently the present flows uni formally by ability of the total body smoking each and every thing in its route. yet another earnings in ac (in case you may call that) is that the present move will reason a opposite rigidity subsequently throwing you off. however it honestly relies upon on the voltage element, it fairly does no longer rely in case you go and contact a 400KV DC or AC (50/60Hz) line end result will be more effective or a lot less a similar. so at a medium voltage element, say one hundred ten V, 240 V, DC is more effective risky than AC.

its not a matter of ac or dc. it all depends on how much current flows through you. DC is typically more dangerous at higher voltages. that is why high tension lines transmit electricity as AC

in general when compared to same amperes A.C. is always more dangerous than dc as its peak value is 1.414 times the value shown or written therefore a ac shock is more dangerous than dc shock

I would say AC... typically more voltage. And AC Slater is very dangerous. But I'm not an electrician.

It depends upon the amount of voltage and the current, and of course how long you are connected to it!

AC is a Alternating Current. It has positive half cycle and one negative half cycle. At positive cycle it wll atract human beings and negative half it will repels. But, DC is a direct current. It has only positive cycle. The shock will absorb human being and it will fully suck the blood and then remove then only dc is dangerous.
