You will have to work very hard at jobs that pay you nothing like you are worth. Keep doing it, keep smiling, keep asking for a better job. Clean houses, do yard work, ironing, any old thing. Put 10% of your earnings into a Savings and Loan account. Whenever you meet people, put yourself forward. If they make fun of you, laugh, and ask how to make yourself better. If you see a job advertised that you would like to do some day, write them a letter to see if they have a need for an assistant to that person.
Community colleges offer courses that will help, for not too much money. If you are persistent and polite, always cheerful, and always willing to do the work, you will be in a better position than you are now, and maybe realise your dream.

get an education, choose a career in big demand. If you live in the US(especialy if you are in poverty) you can get free education(College or trade school). I had to change careers when I was 30 something and found out then that there are programs and grants that will allow you to get an education. I chose to become a diesel mechanic because of the demand for them(and decent pay). Now I make a good living and can go anywhere in the world and get a good job!!! Check into it, good luck!! Check with your local Unemployment office for programs available in your area.

I am amazed that most of people advised you to get education. I am not sure if Onasis had even basic education or Mohammed El-Fayed (You know him the current Harrods owner who was not given a british passport and whose sun got killed together with my favourite woman Princess Diana). I know of people who spend years and years in education and currently they are teaching in university in the US as a lecturer etc. and they are scraping. I am his uncle with no such high education but more determination and currently earning much more than he does.
Shame you didnt tell us where you live so I could give you more specific assistance.
Making your first million is the hardest part, once you made that then the follwoing millions to make is easier. in fact I heard that when you have a million they give birth to more without your interferrence.
You need to build a good credit worthy standing for yourself first (depending where you live), and borrow money and invest in property or anything you are capable of turning into money. If you have no skills or determination or drive then borrow enough money to buy yourself a hand gun (machine gun is better and depending where you live of course), you will be surprised how easy it is to rob a bank or two. The first one being the hardest but as times goes by it will get easier and easier, in fact so easy that they will even bring your food and turn your lights off for you at 7 p.m. and wake you up in the morning for your morning exercise and so on, that is if you make robbing bank your job. So better get out whilst ahead. got it?

* go to the library and read as many books as you can on money management.
* also read inspirational stories in your spare time, to keep yourself motivated
* figure out what your family and friends think your best attributes are and think of jobs that need those types of skills
* get out and start meeting people, go to job fairs, street fairs, local leagues and games
* ask other people how they did it
* don't spend more than you have
* build a credit history and use it wisely
* don't get cell phones for other people
* protect your identity and personal information fiercely (when you aren't poor, this will be of great value)
* don't lend people money, give them only what you can afford to part with and never think of again.
* start talking to people and more importantly LISTENING to them, you will learn what's on their minds and you may have a solution they are willing to pay for
* get as much education as you can for as little as you can
* leave bad habits behind
* keep yourself as physically healthy as possible, so that you are able to take advantage of opportunities that come along
* set limits on things that you will NEVER do for money and try to avoid those situations
* research the non-profit organizations in your area, sometimes helping others is the best way to help yourself. Many influential people participate in non-profits and they may see how hard you work and try to help you
* set small, but difficult goals for yourself and work hard to achieve them (learn 10 new words per week, apply for a job you are not qualified for, study an extra hour although you are exhausted)
* save as much as your money as you can, do not waste it on the latest clothes, fast food or "friends", real friends will understand your drive and direction and try to help or emulate you in your search for a better life
* practice reading, writing and speaking as best as you can - look at local news programs for clues, this will also allow you to carry on simple conversations about current events.
* be reliable, trustworthy and tactful
* be neat in your personal appearance.
* do not be distracted by dating - it will be there when you are out of poverty, and your prospects will be better! However, if you find someone that's willing to sacrifice and struggle along with you, sharing the burden helps
* if you don't make it all the way out of poverty, continue to do all these things, to increase the chances for your own children.

Get an education, as much of one as you can. Colleges have financial aid offices that can help. You have to fill out a lot of paperwork, and you have to be very persistant, but in the end it's worth it. It is hard but you can make it if you try.
