I would not give more than $300 for the computer. You will need to add RAM and possibly a HD. To run XP and all the security software to protect your system you will need minimum 512Mb of RAM. The more RAM you have (to a point) the more stable your computer will be. A 512Mb sodimm module will run about $50*
20Gb is light for a HD these days. An 80Gb notebook hard drive will run from $80 to $140**. This will never be a gaming machine so save you money and buy middle of the road.
It is a good basic notebook but you can buy far more notebook new for about $500. If all you need is internet access and basic computering it will be fine. Ifyou want to game save your money and buy new.
IMHO

Depending on the size of screen, I wouldnt pay more than $450-500 for it. You have to also take into consideration type of video card, DVD RW, CD RW, etc.
By the way 128 is TOO slow. WIN XP requires at least 256. The PC will still run but you will not be taking advantage of the full 1.2 ghz.

$500.00..because its used..20 gig hd is small.1.2 is ok but not reall fast in todays computers..i have a 1.3..128 mem is really little..you need at least 512..so upgrading this will cost prob $100.00 for bigger hard drive and memory..whats the size of video ..mine was 32 memory..way to little to play a lot of games...i upgraded to a 128 mem card..$100.00.so think before you buy..either spend a few hundred for that or spend a lot more for something bigger.depending what your gonna do with it..search the web and ask people where the best deal is..

I very plenty doubt that your gadget has a DVI output except you have further a photographs card those days. So it could have a VGA connector for the video. So procuring a video demonstrate with a DVI interface is slightly pointless, except you intend to enhance your gadget in the close to destiny. in case you may get a DVI interface for the comparable cost as a VGA in straightforward terms there could be no reason to no longer purchase it, allmost all DVI video demonstrate gadgets the two have a DVI connector plus a VGA or a DVI-I connector that could hook up with a VGA output. so which you will nevertheless be waiting to connect it to your gadget. somebody else raised a solid factor. liquid crystal demonstrate video demonstrate gadgets seem their terrific at their community determination, so make beneficial that your gadget is able to going as much as the determination of the video demonstrate. Widescreen resolutions frequently require a video driving force replace, so that's relatively helpful to envision to make certain if an replace to your gadget is obtainable and that it helps widescreen modes.

Don't buy it.
Get atleast 512 Mb of ram. That is the minimum required memory to run the Windows Vista which will be coming to the market pretty soon.

I wouldn't pay more than 350 for it. It's pretty out dated and sounds like it doesnt have a lot on it, a 20 gig is small and 128 ram is pretty low. max I would pay is 400.
