My 9 year old daughter's father is a deadbeat, and lives out of state. He wants to enforce the long distance visitation agreement, but I think she is unsafe there. Her half brothers babysit her, they watch her shower, lock her in the basement, and she told me that they unzipped their pants and told her to "touch them". We are fighting the visitation, but he lied in court and said that she always has a babysitter. How can I fight this?

Talk to your lawyer about the situation. He will then seek to have the court overturn the previous custody/visitation rulings and have a hearing on the subject.

Believe me, if you believe there has been sexual impropriety when your daughter has visited him ... the court will take that DAMN seriously.

Your lawyer will likely immediately seek a TRO (Temporary Restraining Order) to stop his visitation rights until such time as a hearing can be conducted.

You need to act, honey ... don't let your daughter be a victim.

Unfortunately, too many parents have lied about these types of abuses and the system seems to turn a deaf ear to parents with these types of concerns. You need to contact a good attorney,
keep your opinions to yourself, find a GOOD CHRISTIAN THERAPIST WITH AN EXCELLENT REPUTATION, and follow
their advice to the letter. STOP talking with the ex and other family members, just talk with the trusted therapist and attorney.
DOCUMENTATION, DOCUMENTATION, the biggest thing you can do. Talk with a trusted family doctor, and work consistently with these SAME PROFESSIONALS! Your child needs a strong support network and as terrified as you may feel and as angry as you are justified in being, YOU need to put YOUR feelings aside and help your child cope. I would ask for receipts and letters from the "babysitter" as to the hours that they are babysitting and what they are being paid. Is the sitter licensed? Ask for LICENSED DAY CARE, WITH PROOF. Stop whining and take control of this situation quickly and PROFESSIONALLY. If you refuse visitation, what would the punishment be? Perhaps it would be worth it if it brings the truth to light. YOU and more importantly YOUR CHILD need all the help you can get from professionals, such as FAMILY DOCTOR, SCHOOL NURSE, SCHOOL COUNSELOR, TEACHERS, THERAPIST AND AN
ATTORNEY who is very in touch with these types of cases. AS
hard as it is, having been there myself, you have to stay focused and unfortunately cool headed. Exercise, especially walking with your child will relieve alot of stress and give you one on one time that allows your child to express herself to you without pressure, walk and listen carefully, don't pry things out of her or give her words to say, I wish the process was easier, but I'm sorry to say that it's not. Hug your daughter often, reassure her constantly, remind her that her body is her body and only her body and that at this age NO ONE should be touching or looking. Most schools offer programs on good touch/bad touch, local YWCAs
have programs, find them, use them and DOCUMENT everything on a special calendar that your attorney can use in court. God Bless and I will be praying for you. I am a survivor of sexual abuse myself and honestly understand how you both feel.

First, don't you DARE let her go there!! Second, get in touch with either the sheriff, child protective services of your state or county, or some other interested but uninvolved party. Your attorney can help if you have one. M me our city or county and state and I'll find somebody you can call. Get going.

Your daughter will have to tell the courts what is going on there. That may be the only way.
