If you sweat a lot, wash your face more often...if you mow the lawn, wash the car or anything like that--wash your face right after (even if it's just cold water). Also, keep your hands away from your face--the oils can clog your pores. Good luck!

Ah, pimples.
It could be that you're not washing off your sunscreen well enough, or just being outside and giving your sweat glands a workout could make them appear.
As for treatment, that depends on what else is going on with your skin and the amount of money you're willing to spend.
1) if you've got a good bit of money, head to the dermatologist. They truly are miracle workers.
2) if you have about $20-80 to spend, you might want to try proactive. I tried it myself but found it only made my face worse.
3) If you're like most of us (ie-broke), I'd try neutrogena products. I personally like noxema pads because you can see the ick you're cleaning off your face, and they're quite refreshing.
Best of luck!

I recommend Velocity® Facial Cleanser. It deep cleans, tones, refreshes and exfoliates.

Then use Velocity® Lightweight Moisturizer. It softens skin while controlling excess oil on the face. http://www.marykay.com/adina_k/skincare/moisturization/moisturization/10001500/default.aspx
You can also throw in the Blemish Control Toner 3, which is an acne medication that leaves your skin free of excess oil. http://www.marykay.com/adina_k/skincare/classicbasicskincare/10106500/10106500/default.aspx
The last thing is the Acne Treatment Gel. It will dry and clear blemishes, and allows skin to heal without irritation.

benzoyl peroxide, found in clearasil helps. another face medicine, clean & clear has Salicylic acid which is another remedy. i have to wear all products that are Oil-Free to keep from breaking out, including soaps, make up & mosturizer. All lines such as cover girl and maybelline carry an oil-free foundation

the sweat causes your pores to enlarge a little and causes oil to build up. a good way to replenish the skin is to drink tons and tons of water... and eat a lot of fruit.

sunscreen--the sun dries out your face causing it to produce more pore clogging natural oils
