I have pain on both sides {FlanK} and some abdominal pain upper and lower. Have blood in urine , not visible and recurring urinary tract infection. I had a IVP, showed blockage in uter. Had a Ct Scan , didn't show a stone. the pain is not enough to go to emerency room. I have appointment with Urologist next week . Could this be a Kidney stone that will not pass and how can I relieve the pain till I see Doctor?

It sure sounds like a stone with what you've told me. I would imagine that your stone is lodged in the uterer around the pelvic rim. Sometimes they'll dislodge themselves, and other times a urologist will have to put you under anesthesia and remove it. Very rarely will it involve an actual surgery where they would have to removed it. You can try to use over the counter non-steriodal anti-inflammatory drugs like tylenol (acetaminophen), advil or motrin (ibuprofen), or even aleve (naproxen sodium). Just follow the label directions. This may help. If the pain gets too unbearable, then you'll either need to contact your urologist or go to an emergency room. Best of luck to you......

As a girl who gets reoccuring kidney stones, let me tell you that the stones are not always visible in x-rays. Abdominal pain and back pain are normal symptoms, as well as urinary, bladder or kidney infections. A kidney stone may become lodged and possible treatments are what they call "blasting" or "basket". Blasting is used to break up the kidney stone for easier passage, basket is when they go up your tract and get it. Typically the doctors want to see if you will pass it. Go to a doctor, a specialist would be better, and get some medicine for the pain and also some antibiotics for the infection. Drink plenty of water. You can get a strainer to strain your urine while you try to pass the stone. That way they can take the stone to the lab and see what it is made of so you can determine what to "stay away from" in your diet. For instance, my stones are made of calcium. I have to drink bottled water bc of the calcium and phosphates found in the water in this area. I'm also not supposed to drink carbonated beverages because they can affect how my body deals with calcium in my body. (makes my body make excess calcium into kidney stones ).

Anyway, long story short, ya should go to a doctor. Hope this helps.

I had similar inflictions years ago. And I too, thought this was happening to me. The scan showed nothing.
I think most of the pain was from bloating & pain from the urinary tract infection.
Try to drink more water and good foods until your Urologist appt.
And maybe some comfortable exercise, in moderation. Nothing strenuous.

Good luck.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

Call your Dr. and see if he can call in a prescription for you. Or take some Tylenol. If you have a high fever you need to see the Dr. for some antibiotics or you'll get worse before you make it to your appt.
