That really sucks. I sincerely hope the family recovers from this. Hopefully this is an accident and nothing more. If it were an accident, no punishment would be greater than the one in that man's mind. He has to live with the realization that he killed his wife.
That's punishment enough...

It was an accident. What reason would there be to imagine anything else? I agree with the lady above me, it serves no purpose for this story to have even made the news. He has enough problems, now he has to deal with this as well as his grief. terrible tragedy

Seems like an accident. It seems unlikely that he would shoot his caretaker and put himself at the mercy of some unknown person or agency.

probably an accident but legally blind doesn't always mean fully blind. they said more than 50 percent but does that mean your fully blind?? either way the situation sucks.
