Ever notice that the people you work with don't recognize you outside of the element? Or they ACT like they don't recognize you. Why is that?

Probably more true for larger organizations than smaller ones. Obviously, if you work with 6 people everyone knows everyone. I work for a law firm with about 700 people.

No! I work with 5 people! If they shunned me in public that would suck.
But I know what you mean..my last company was kind of the bigger side of small (like 150 people) so you knew everyone but didn't KNOW everyone...but we all interacted but soemtimes would run into people in public who would kinda blow it off...I think sometimes people just need some privacy in their lives and don't always want work related people in their day (no personal offense) or their mind just might be elsewhere....

Never had that happened. I see people I work with at the mall, on the street, at the store, etc. and we've greeted each other and gone on our way.
