Yes you can. It's very possible. For some women it takes a few weeks for the hormone to show up in your urine. I would wait another week or so then take another pregnancy test. If you don't want to wait (which I wouldn't). I would take my butt to the doctor's and ask for a blood test. They are accurate, and you can't fool a blood test.
If you aren't pregnant, you need to go to your gynocologist. You could have a cyst on your ovary that is preventing you from getting your period. When you have a cyst, it won't let your body produce the right hormones for your uterus to shed its lining.
I hope your pregnant (if that's what you want)!! But please go to the doctor if you don't get your period within the next few weeks!
Good Luck.

it is more common to get a false negative than a false positive - so just because it came up negative, doesn't mean that you are not pregnant. Sometimes, for some women, the level of pregnancy horomone is low in the beginning and the test can't read it right away. You have two choices - see your doctor for a blood test or wait a week and repeat the test (you may have to wait another week if it comes up negative again - for some women it takes until about 8 weeks to get a positive reading on a home test) Good luck!

My pregnancy test showed up positive 16 days after ovulation however I got a very very faint line, at 19 days I got a very dark positive line. All women are different, your levels of hcg might not be showing up yet, this hormone duplicates every other day so if I were you I would wait until monday and test again. If you do a blood test right now, chances are that it will turn out negative too, now a days home pregnancy tests are as acurate as blood test. Good luck.

depends if ur cycle is regular, cos if average, then you are only 5 days late, and that could be a bit early for some tests - wait till next week and try again.
