That's called black out or cloud something. I play football so I know what it does. It makes the sun light not get in the eyes. It works though.

It keeps the sun from getting in your eyes and reduces the glare of the sun. In softball if it gets really hot and sunny outside sometimes we use it.

It's eye black, and it keeps the sun out of ur eyes, plus it looks more intimidating.
