What are some pros and cons of "preventing the missile sites from being armed by establishing a blockade around the island"?

The U.S. was at the height of the Cold War and on the brink of nuclear war with the USSR. Cuba is only 90 miles from the U.S. and there was no way the U.S. was going to let the Russians that close with nuclear weapons. There are no cons when protecting our country's safety and way of life.

Sleep ray I say we invent a sleep ray put them all to sleep get in there and take all weapons away and find the trouble makers and lock them up alittle far fetched but its better than my first thought
