WoW is a massive multy online roll playing game, meaning: when you come online, you are in a game with more then 6.000 other ppl. I don't mean that your boyfriends know all those ppl but he do know a small family (they call them self a 'guild').
That world is a huge place and there are several lvl area's. Meaning: when your character (the person your boyfriend plays with) is getting more experienced, he can go to higher lvl area's.
when you are lvl 60 (that is the max lvl you can get with a char, for now) you can go to very difficult bosses. To kill them you need 20 to 40 ppl (mostly members from the guild).
he calls you a Night Elf. Don't be frightened, that is just a rass you can chose to make your character. Night Elf's are big "human like" chreachers that live in the woods. There are also humans, dwarfs and gnomes (tiny little cute 'humans'). these 4 rases are called the 'alliance'.
In the world there are also 'horde' that is the opposite group of the alliance. the 4 rasses of the 'horde' are: trolls, taurens (they look like cows), undead (don't need to explane more :p) and orc (green things).

well what she said but also, its a roleplaying game guys get addicted to like crack sometimes. they play n play n play and ignore all else sometimes, not everytime. and he is complimenting you a night elf is sexy n hot so you must be to in his eyes.

Its a stupid game that guys like to play so they can ignore their girlfriends. they get to go on stupid missions and pretend they are different characters.
