When I bought it my laptop had just one drive as default (Drive C:) then I made two new with Partition Magic (Drive D: & E:) now it's time to format C: drive and install a new operating system. Do u think if it is a safe thing to do? I fear that these two new partitions may be physically part of the C: drive and after formating the C: Drive they may be deleted as well. It's Mentionable that they are formated in NTSF format!plz help me...

You can format the drive C:

it will not change anything on other partitions.

B U T you should save before all documents from the MyDocuments Folder. There are many personal data.
There exist in Windows a Export program for this.

Better is usually NOT to format the hard disk, but better to delete it or just over write it with the new Operating system.

You will see that it is ok to do this. I wouldn't format the hard disc.

SAVE BEFORE ALL YOUR PERSONAL DATA FROM DRIVE C!!!!

If you format C: your D and E will remain intact. Just make sure when you re-install your operatiing system to not format D & E. Just select C and you should be fine.

D & E are partitions of your one Hard Drive and so is C.

If you format C it will only format the C partition.

a foul sector means that there is a small spot on the hardcontinual that the pc isn't waiting to study from or write to. each and every hardcontinual could have a handful of undesirable sectors on it. i'm asssuming that your undesirable sectors are next to at least one yet another. (because you deleted all yet between the mistakes lines, i am going to't tell). in the journey that they were no longer, the experiment likely doesn't have stated them. that ought to represent that you've a wide component of the hardcontinual that has lengthy gone undesirable. Possbile one entire platter of thecontinual. If it is authentic, then you definately pick to save our records, and replace the hardcontinual with a sparkling one. even as an entire platter is going undesirable that often potential the little arm that strikes the study/write head is out of alignment. If it strikes any better the completed hardcontinual will provide up operating. I strongly propose you decrease back up your records and replace thecontinual even as you nevertheless can.

I don't know about Partition Magic, but Partition Commander will let you do this. Why don't you contact customer support for the product you purchased and run this scenario by them. I'm sure they'll be able to provide you some better guidance.
