I helped putting them together. He was lonely; she was lonely. All the time--even during their initial dating stages--he used to call me and other female friends. I was invited to a family dinner party with them, and she made certain remarks behind my back, but I did not care less. Then two months or less later, he stops calling the girls all together. We call him every once in a while to not get a returned call or SMS text. What's up with that? Because he now has her, he probably does not need our friendships anymore.

It's possible that she's jealous. It depends a lot on what the friendships were like, for me at least. If he was flirty with the girls, I might be more jealous than if he wasn't.
It also may not be that it's just because you're female. When a relationship starts getting serious, most people stop talking to some of their friends, or at least talk to them less.

I think that this girl is controlling and unsure of her status. She knows that she is with him..but she doesn't want any competition.

Its lame that he won't return your phone calls..you should send him an email and explain what this is doing to your friendship, and if it means anything to him, he should talk to his chick.. Bros before ho's..isn't that the motto? Some girls are just like that. I have tons of guy friends, and my boyfriend isn't comfy with me just hanging out alone, but I explained to him that they were there way before he was...he's cool with it now.

Depends on the girl.
I personally wouldn't care if my boyfriend was friends with other girls so long as he isn't cheating on me or getting into sticky situations with them.
Some girls are just jealous, though. This girl you're talking about sounds rather insecure.

Sorry to be blunt, but this kind of thing happens all the time. He's moved on and so should you. He chooses to be with her and not upset her with your involvement. I don't say it's necessarily right. It's just the way it is.
