A very intriguing question! There are many understandings regarding the natural world. There is also ample evidence that there is a fourth dimension (as expounded by Einstein), a reality above the natural---the supernatural. It is in this realm of reality, and discussion, that the human soul, the afterlife, and related genre's belong.
However, the natural law follow patterns and structures that are well established. In fact. it is possible to clone a person BECAUSE the laws of biology are static (at this point in history, anyway--I reject uniformitarianism). An invitro baby or a surrogate baby is just as human as a naturally born one. The method of conception does not change the biological nature of the organism. This doesn't change.(I also reject Speciation) So, if all humans have a soul, then a clone would, as well, because the clone is still human.
BTW: Nature/Nurture tells us that a clone of me would not gorw up to be "me", because that clone would an individual (and only "me" at the genetic level).

Yes, it would. Cloning is just one method of creating an organism using the same genetic information as the existing one.

In normal creation, parent's genetic information are combined to create an organism. That genetic information comes from those parent sperm cell and ovum cell. Cloning is no different, except that an organism's DNA is duplicated to create a new organism. The rest of the cell development until it became a new organism is just the same as natural one.

People often have misconception about cloning because of those science fiction stories or movies, which do not give a real picture of cloning process.

Cloning does exists in nature in some species and is referred to as parthenogenesis. An example is the "Little Fire Ant" (Wasmannia auropunctata), which is native to Central and South America but has spread throughout many tropical environments. In this species, circumstantial evidence from microsatellite DNA suggests that both queens and males may reproduce clonally in one population in Suriname.

But the bad side of cloning is that the success rate is very low. Dolly the sheep was born after Ian Wilmut used 277 eggs to create 29 embryos.

The objection of human cloning is not about souls, but because they believe that a human life begins the moment a human egg becomes fertilized. At present, the main objection to human cloning is that the cloned individual may be biologically damaged, due to the inherent unreliability of its origin: researchers currently are unable to safely and reliably clone non-human primates.

So what's the fuzz about human cloning anyway?

That is hard to say. My thought is that God already knew that we would have the capability to clone in the future. We are not doing anything that he wouldn't have wanted us to do. Therefore, I think that clones do have souls. If you clone a person, it is my belief that it will not act, be and think exactly like the person it was cloned from; therefore, it was it's own soul.

If there is such thing as a soul than YES.

If a soul exists than it would be given to all intelligent life forms at the moment that they become intelligent.

It is impotent to understand that a clone is not a total copy and would be more like an identical twin. It would look like you but not act like you because it had different experiences.

The clone will might desire to have soul. despite if its shape would be particular, the a twin of a man or woman shall be yet another individual which do have breath, physique, recommendations and so on. hence it is going to truthfully have a undeniable soul additionally. Bible particularly says all residing beings have souls. as a effect the cloned individual will also have a soul. now not in a similar experience, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that Eve can be in assessment as a a twin of Adam. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that whilst Eve was once created out of Adam, the soul and innovations of Eve look specific.

If you definition of a soul is "that which feels" or the psyche, then yes. All living things feel. Will it have soul in reference to what the bible says, who knows. There were human type people that did not in Genesis 6.

No, it wouldn't, only a conceived child (through a mom and dad) or a tube baby could have a soul. God would never make two of the same person, because we're all unique.

It's fool questions like these that keep humanity from making scientific breakthroughs that could save it from annihiliation by its own hand. "Soul" is a metaphor for the human spirit, so yes he/she would have a soul.
