The Montreal Canadiens is my team!

Ever since I was a kid, the Canadiens have been my family's team. I used to watch them on Hockey Night in Canada and loved to watch Guy Lafleur (The Flower) go down the ice and score!!!

The rivalry between the Nordiques and the Canadiens was so intense, no other rivalry will ever come close.

GO HABS GO!!!

The Buffalo Sabres;

Because when I was a kid I could watch the whole game. They played a lot of Sunday afternoon games. With the Leafs and other teams on Hockey Night in Canada, I'd have to go to bed after the end of the first period.

Also, when I started watching the Sabres had Gilbert Perreault. That guy was awesome!

Now I know that their announcers are the most annoying in the world but when your 7 it doesn't matter.

Can I say "were"? The Boston Bruins were my favorite because I adored Bobby Orr. I played D as a kid and wanted to be just like him--an all-around player who could shoot, pass, check, block shots and fight! Plus he controlled the play (think Gretzky and Coffey put together) esp. on the PK where he'd rag the puck up and down the ice and the other team could not get it away from him.

Add to that the B's had a great bunch of characters from the Orr-Espo days thru Park-Middleton-O'Reilly to Neely and Bourque.

Sad to say I fired them after Jacobs bought the team, they moved to the Fleece Center and doofuses like McSorley showed up wearing B colors while Bourque gets a Cup...in Denver!

Now I am a Canuck fan by default having grown up in Vancouver.

I love the Flyers... They have good players and also good goalies and they have a future with the younger players like when there now Goalie gets traded or retires they have Bernd Bruckler maybe haha Who played for UW-Madison Wisconsin. And they have Peter Forsberg who I say is the best player ever!! But For college i must say my Badgers are the greatest I mean come on they did win 2006 National Champs!! And will do it again Next year!! They have great players and also a great furture with their goalies!! Brian Elliott is the best goalie in the College level right now!!

This is a question in the Hockey category!

to answer it...
The Anaheim Ducks..a lot of people clown the team because of the Disney Movie that was out...but they are not affiliated with DISNEY!!

They now have two of the best defensemen in the league (S. Nieds and C. Pronger)...They play well together, good chemistry..
and they have an MVP goalie...and let's not forget their Backup...Bryzgalov!

The Ducks management makes good trades...
and watch out for Stanislav Chistov and the rest of the Rookies in the team (Perry, Getzlaf, and Beauchemin)

GO DUCKS!

The Buffalo Sabres, watched them for 30 years, had a killer season and some very bad luck with injuries late in the playoffs. I love every team on some level and I love the site dearnhl.com, where there is always hockey talk. We're missing fans from a lot of your teams, check it out!

The leafs cause even through all the criticism we have gone through we are still a decent team and we are living in one of the best hockey if not the best sports cities in north America and the world, we have a great franchise and have lots of potential with young players, as well as a mix of veterans like sundin and now peca....i look forward to watching them for the rest of my life

By far I have to say my favorite is the Detroit Redwings. I like and respect a lot of teams (les Habs, Boston, Tampa Bay, Minnesota), but there can be only one favorite. The passion of Detroits fans is unparalleled, they sell out virtually every game, have one of the strongest fan bases as they are in the top five in season ticket sales, and named their arena after one of the greatest boxers of all time. But the class on the ice is where its at. Stevie Y set the standard for years, it stands otu in my mind when he passed the cup to Vladimir Konstantinov after Connies accident. Last but not least, Gordie Howe......need I say more?

On the point of hockey, I must say the Ottawa Senators. They've heart broken their fans too many times already, being predicted to win the cup in 2006 and being first in the East but they always fall in the playoffs. Glad to see you leave Hasek. Enough is enough, we want the cup now!! And if Alfreddson can't do it as captain, then he better hand the reigns over to Mike Fisher. Don Cherry,,,please don't pick them to win again, they will just dissapoint us once again.
