Swollen feet have many causes, and are often one of the discomforts experienced during pregnancy. It may be unsettling for a pregnant woman to notice her feet swelling but there is no cause for worry, as swollen feet are very common at this time. This is because pregnancy puts a strain on the circulatory system. The uterus, which is growing in size, puts pressure on the vena cava, which is the vein that receives blood from the legs. Due to this pressure, the blood cannot flow upwards easily, and gets trapped in the lower limbs, forcing water down to your feet and ankles. This is not excessive fluid; it is simply concentrated in the feet instead of being distributed around the body. Thus, while a natural impulse would be to take diuretics (substances that flush water out of your body, like coffee), as you would in the case of water retention, these diuretics are not recommended for this condition, as they may cause dehydration, even if the swelling is indeed caused by excessive water retention. Pregnant women do tend to retain excessive water, which adds to the swelling.
With that said swelling early on is odd see a doctor, you may have another condition that has been agrivated by your pregnancy.

I'm also only 14 weeks preg. and my feet are swollen. Went to the Doctor he says my Blood Pressure was way to high. So he put me on a Blood Pressure pill. It only helped a little. So stay out the Heat, stay a way from salt, stay as much as possible off your feet and also try to squeeze lemon in a cup of warm water.Good Luck

You probably already heard this but say away from salty foods, drink lots of water also see your doctor. When my cousin was pregnant the same thing happened to her & when she went to her doctor the pregnancy caused her high blood pressure during her pregnancy only though, so make sure you see the doctor because pregnancy can cause you to develope things. So protect yourself & the baby.

Everybody goes through swelling when they are pregnat! It's natural. You can take some water pills but before you do ask your doctor about it. Other than that it should be fine until you see the doctor.

Cut down on the sodium intake. Chill out, put your feet up. Have your hubby/bf give your feet a good rub every night before bed.

its normal, it can factor for various reasons.. the heat, too much salt in your diet. Just try not to be on them as much, limit your salt intake drink at least a bottle of water an hour if your gonna be in the heat and whenever you can elevate them and relax you have many more months of this to come.
