You've been watching too much daytime TV! All the soap stars have miscarriages after falling of stairs, off chairs, etc. I do not know the incidence of miscarriage after a fall, but the incidence is much higher on daytime TV. A miscarriage will be like a heavy period. If you think you may be pregnant you can get a test at the local planned parenthood or purchase a test from the drugstore. These are fairly accurate if you follow the instructions carefully. The best sample is first morning urine - cause the bladder has been "concentrating" the urine all night in the bladder. So get the kit, and sleep on it. Skip the middle of the night trip to the bathroom if you can and get up early and test yourself.

I had a miscarriage and before I ever went to the bathroom I knew something wasn't right. I felt horrible cramps, I was nauseous, and weak in the knees. I went the bathroom and I was bleeding but nothing more than a period. It was more clotted than usual and the pain was like your worse case of cramps times 10. I knew I was pregnant just a few days before I miscarried. If you were to miscarry you would know it by now. You can lose a baby by falling down the stairs but its rare and glorified by Hollywood in movies but if it does happen know that it happens to 20% of all pregnancies and is a very healthy and natural thing. Having a miscarriage is your body's way of telling you that something was very wrong.

You should be fine even if you are pregnant. I took a self defense class and was flipped over the back of a lady on to a floor several times and the next day I found out I was pregnant. And everything was fine.

I doubt it. You would immediatly have cramping, bleeding and pain if you were to miscarry from a fall. It would have to be a very hard traumatic fall or blow to the abd to cause a miscarriage.

If you have a miscarrage you will have bleeding, bleeding that is prolonged and a larger amount than normal, also it could have clots and not stop. Therefore, if you have anything that doesn't look like a period go see a doctor immediately.
