Didn't you ask your doctor? Did your doctor say it was low? ASK YOUR DOCTOR.

A normal heart rate is 120-160 bpm, but can be a little higher. And it's an old wives tale about the lower heart rates being boys. When my Mom was pregnant with me her doctor kept telling her that because my heart rate was in the lower range, I was definitely a boy. Needless to say I am all woman and have always had a low heart rate.
If you are concerned contact your doctor, though it seems 120 bpm is fine and your baby was probably sleeping.

Ignore all this boy/girl nonsense.
120 is on the low side for a fetal heart rate but still perfectly normal. My guess is the baby was sleeping.
If the doctor didn't seem concerned, there's no reason you should be.
And, for the love of all things holy, ignore this "it's a boy" idiocy.

My baby had a heart rate of 120 at my last check up (I was 30 weeks). I think he must've been asleep because it's usually 140-150. The doctor told me that it was in a healthy range and not to worry, so neither should you.

Your doctor would have told you, and no it is not that bad at all babys heart rates usually go an where from 120-170.

Using the heartbeat to judge whether it is a boy or girl is not accurate. A normal heartrate is between 120-160. My son's heartrate was always between 150-160.

Best bet ask your Doctor...........never leave the office wondering about something always leave knowing about your health...but if you were not healthy sure bet your doctor would of told you and have you checked.........but always write down things you want to ask and take a note pad with you........

Sounds about right.
120 bpm is fast but little baby's heart rates are supposed to be fast.
I'm sure if you ask your doc your doc will say its normal.

I am 30 weeks now...my fhr at 28 weeks was 122...my ob told me this was normal.

No, it means it is probably a boy. Girls have faster heart beats, like 135 and higher. Didn't you question your doc on this?

Low heartbeats usually mean that you are having a boy...they beat slower than girls.
