With all the religious zealot republicans out there, you're gonna get a wave of responses on this one. I, however, agree wholeheartedly with you and didn't vote for Bush, either election.
For one, Gore beat him in '00, but his brother Jeb pulled some tricks in FL with the absentee votes, and he won after all. Then in '04 I voted for Kerry not even thinking he would be a good president... just that he couldn't possibly do as poor a job as Bush.
When this presidency ends, Bush will have solved no issues at all. All he's done is leave our affairs with the rest of the world in turmoil, perhaps helped to start World War 3, damn near tripled out National Deficit, and taken more vacation time than any other previous president in the history of America (even though FDR was president more an an entire term longer) and Bush still has another 1 & 1/2 years!
Then again he did decide he can do whatever he wants without true congressional approval, such as tap our phones... what do we need constitutional rights for anyway?

Oh boy, you stepped in it happy drunk.

I voted for Kerry...and Gore before him.

Gore did not claim to invent the internet, as people like to think (they get their information from Fox News). He proposed funding for it based on a system physicists were using to share data.

If you are going to claim to be educated, actually be educated, just don't spout what Hannity has to say...which is pure drivel. I used to watch those Fox shows, just out of curiousity, as well as MSNBC and CNN, to get a balanced view. But if you watch a Fox talking head, and a CNN talking head, the difference is amazing. The Fox talking head doesn't let their guest get any quality air time, and anytime they say something contradictory, the guest is shouted down. The CNN talking heads let their guests contribute.

Which is why I no longer watch Fox. I am a thinking American, and I want others to share their viewpoints, whatever they may be.

Which leads us to "idiots". Since that isn't very nice, let's just call them uneducated voters. I asked a question before about the Bush administration, it is closed now, but the link is below. You conservative Bush supporters might want to read the results. If you have a better answer, let me know, and I will repost the question. I'm afraid you won't be able to provide a better answer though, because this is the absolute worst administration in the history of the US.

To clear up one more thing...whatever your feelings, just because he is "President", doesn't make you unpatriotic in the least to disagree with his actions in office. If you asked Mr. Bush that himself, he would agree. As long as you don't threaten his life of course, it is healthy to have productive debate on the issues. Waving the flag and calling anybody who is liberal unpatriotic just shows your inability to defend your side.

Okay, so I am getting sick of "Why Bush" this and "Why Bush" that.

*I* didn't vote for Bush and I DID vote. But enough is enough. He is President, and, aside from impeachment, there's nothing we can do.

Now, while I agree the man is an idiot with the right connections, and probably a marionette to the "Evil Warlord" Cheney, I think all this complaining is a giant gaping waste of human time.

Why not, instead, spend your time campaigning for the legitimate candidate you think will do a good job on the next go around?

Start researching your candidates now!

I did...call me an idiot if you'd like...the choice was the lesser of two evils in both cases (even though I personally like Bush as a human being).

In 2000 we had W versus a man who claimed he invented the internet, now claims that global warming is a real threat and never ventures outside of the party line.

In 2004, we had W versus a man who kept saying "I have a plan" but NEVER ONCE shared that plan with anyone. I even tried to see the plan that he referred folks to on his website and the .pdf never opens. I even called his website provider to seek assistance and was told that they couldn't fix it or send me a copy at MY EXPENSE.

So...who's the idiot?!

[p.s for NancyK - Enough with the stolen election bologna already. If you don't like the Electoral College system, fine...have your congressman/woman try to amend the Constitution accordingly. Then you can have your majority vote instead and we'll all have to be sad on our side of the fence.]

[p.s for JustHangin - Here's the quote from Gore's lips...
"During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet." What else does that actually mean? Did he not tell us that W "betrayed our country and played on our fears" either?]

Not to many will admit that the voted for Bush any more. There are few but they are the more mentally diminished of the Repuglican party. He wasn't elected, if you remember he was appointed and he flat out stole the second election.

I did and so did 52% of the American public, funny now only 31% of them admit to it. Oh and I am proud of our PRESIDENT, who should be addressed as such. No matter who our President has been I still respect the man and the office, cause I am an American first.
