Hello everyone:

I am a high school sophomore. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a science fair project related to organic thin film transistors.

Like what could be a problem and hypothesis that I could work on? I am planning to apply to the state academy of science and math, so it's kind of important I win this year. I need your help!

Thanks

Generally organic thin film transistors cant compete with silicon, so I'd say you should focus on the advantages of organic film transistors over silicon. Identify some applications of the technology that show the most promise for commercialization in the future. Remember there may be a cost advantage, and as a result of the low deposition temperatures, and other advantages one potential application to explore would be the active matrix flat panel screens (large ones - even for billboards, etc)

Good luck...

First things first: Forgive and Forget, can I hear you say "Would you like fries with that?" It'll be a useful skill for you soon.

Try to work out a way to explain the basics of the transister in a simple, clear way. Then tell why thin film transisters are better. Finally, put together a working model of something useful using a thin film transister - a radio, maybe. You might get extra points if you make it interactive - maybe a 2 way radio to talk with someone on the other side of the room, or down the hall.

i cannot suggest any science fair project but what i can suggest is that you drop your books and go out and have a life...like they say "all work and no play makes jack a dull boy" or in this case.."makes a_chamarthy a dull boy"....just joking.....
