I don't think you should live to please them, but they did raise you and give you everything they could, so I think you should try to make them proud in everything you do so they know they did a good job with you.

I guess some people say that because that's what they did or because without your parents you wouldn't exist. I think that's a bunch of crap though. Live your life to please yourself. In the long run that's all that matters. Your parents should be plenty pleased with you if you have made yourself a life that you are happy with. If their not then they're not very good parents.

Our parents are like our up most role models we do everything pleasing in their site because we want an approval code from them!!! It's like if you got the stamp of approval from your parents then you feel like you can accomplish anything in life!!!! We love honor and respect them for our upbringing you know many people can say that they have parents but very few can say i have a mom and a Dad and I'm one of the fortunate few I'm Blessed!

i disagree with you .you should live your life for pleasing yourself and be sure in every step you decide to take that your parents love you and do care about you.i used to take decisions that would please my parents but after a while i found myself living like my parents and i didn't like this so i decided to work on for my own life and found my parents supporting me.

if your parents love you they will be happy with whatever way you turn out as long as you are not bringing harm to yourself or others but I always tell people you have to live your own life and do what makes you happy You should always honor and respect your parents and make them proud but you can only please yourself

Why? Because some people buy into the myth that parents want you to please them. Parents want you to be yourself, they want you to do what is right, they want you to be healthy and strong and proud of yourself. All these things will please a parent, but that is not why they want to see them in you, they want to see these things so they know that when they are gone, you will do fine without them.
