Hi jedisara,
I disagree with those who say it's only a movie, and get a life. You obviously have a very rich inner life and something in this movie is touching you deeply. I don't believe, however that your Dr. or most therapists hold the answers for you.
I find a lot of truth in the Star Wars movies, and the struggle for good and evil goes on every day, every minute within us and all around us. We each have access to the force and can use it for either good or evil. We truly do have free choice. And when an individual is dedicated to good, its difficult to watch someone use the force for evil. I'm guessing that you might be closer to, and more aware of your real Self, Soul, than many. And that you have spent many, many lifetimes learning about the force, using it for both good and evil.
If you desire spiritual love, freedom, wisdom, and truth, I invite you to try the following spiritual exercise. First get comfortable, close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths. Next, gently put your attention on your inner visual screen where daydreams and images come to you. With your eyes closed, sing HU (pronounced like the word Hue) as a song of love. There are many ways to experience the love of God. You may notice a feeling of peace, warmth, and comfort. You may also recognize the presence of the Divine through greater spiritual insights into your daily life. You might also perceive the inner Light and Sound. The Light may appear as brightness or colors on your inner visual screen. The Sound may be musical or the Sounds of nature, such as the wind or the ocean. However you experience the presence of God, it is bringing you a broader understanding of the life you lead. I have also found that done daily over time it lifts my depression and leaves me with a joyous and grateful heart.
Please feel free to E-mail me if you find truth in this and want to know more.

If you feel THIS bad, just imagine how Obi-wan Kinobi felt. He must have been devastated. Of course, he is a master Jedi, and you are not, so he has lots more coping skills. Also, considering this is a galaxy far, far away, and is totally fictional (as are the characters) it probably won't have a great impact on us here on this tiny planet earth. And, although I am a bit reluctant to give this any credibility, I would add that characters, especially archetypes, can stir deep and intense emotions within us, not because the characters are real, but because the things they represent are VERY real within our hearts and minds. My suggestion is to study the works of psychologist Jung and his theories of archetypes. Also, get counseling, at the very least, because if this is not entirely made up, you definitely need to get to the bottom of what the symbolic imagery in that movie moved within you. That's your real issue. The character of Anakin was never your issue, but what icon meant for you, the concepts of loss of innocence, etc you need to speak with a therapist about until you see this mental issue for what it is. Also, dwelling on something will make it much worse. The advice to get out more and get a life outside of this fan culture is excellent.

Your a jedi knight get a hold of yourself. I felt the same way the first time I saw the galaxy fall apart in episode three but i retaned my emotions like a true jedi master. Jedi aren't to have emotions like that remember yodas instruction to anakin in episode 3 "The fear of loss is a path to the dark side. Death is a natural part of life, rejoice for those around you who transforme into the force morn them do not miss them do not atachment leads to jealosy the shadow of greed that is, Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose"
Remember the reason all this happened to anakin was because he could not train himself let go of padme and as yoda predicted it made him turn to the dark side. Unless you can get ahold of your emotions you may suffer anakins fate. "Once you start down the path to the dark side forever will it dominate your destoney " You are a jedi use your powers to learn control "control, control you must learn control" (yoda episode V)
Listen to master yodas instuction it would have saved anakin if he had listened and it still can save you. "there is good in you I have felt it"
May the force be with you

Ok, yea you need some help. First of all, it's just a movie. You need to get a grip on reality. I understand that movies can be very emotional but that one, especially, is not one to cry over. Just let it go for goodness sake. Maybe you should stop obsessing over stupid stuff like that all together and save your self the trouble.
