If nursing of any kind is your goal, you go to a school of nursing, specializing happens after you complete your schooling and you apply to the department in which you wish to train as a specialist.

My wife had the job you described.
Become a registered nurse and apply for that job. That is all she did. You do not need a specialized degree.
