I'm 18 and i plan to go up to the mountains a lot. I'm a real outdoors person. However i don't want to be constantly filling it up. I can't really afford that. So i'm just wondering if this would be a good car for me. I really like the 96 Toyota Pick-up with large wheels.

cars or trucks with larger than standard wheels are not good choices if you are looking to save on gas. Also, if you are going into the mountains to snowboard, i would suggest making sure that you have four wheel drive. Check out the subarus

You might want to look at something like the Jeep Liberty. It's a compact SUV that gets okay gas mileage, has 4-wheel drive and is enclosed so you can keep your snowboard locked up.

I am a firm believer in Jeeps. I own a Cherokee Sport (dicontinued so they're cheap), have always wanted a Wrangler, and drive a Liberty at work (didn't expect to like it, but it's a wonderful vehicle). All are great 4x4 vehicles, which don't consume as much gas as a pickup.

I have a 2006 Duramax Diesel 4x4 Ext. cab Chevy. It gets me everywhere I want to go. It's very good on mileage for a truck. I'm sure they have older ones for sale for a lower amt. of money than this one was.
